The winter is almost upon us. The wilderness beckons. Pack your bags and fall off the map!
Sharing with you my guest blog on my dear friend Mallika’s blog. Thank you so much, Mallika for hosting me and more importantly letting me write on “Trekking”, a topic very close to my heart. In the blog, I offer a glimpse into the beautiful world of mountains along with a few tips, tricks, and thrills of trekking with kids.
Read the blog here.
So, where are heading to this winter season?
Great! Left a comment there.
Thanks for highlighting the importance of introducing kids to trekking. It helps them become independent and opens up their mind.
Thanks! <3
Trekking definitely helped me becaome independent. It’s a great sport.
I can only agree because that’s what I do every weekend! 🙂
Lucky you! I’m finding it so difficult to trek these days…
What’s holding you back?
Nothing’s “holding me back” as such. I’m just busy with Heritage Walks and Tuitions.
I love conducting both things..but sadly that means I have very less time to trek. 🙁 But thike… no issues! 😛
haha! well, Maybe the almighty wants to say – you have had your share 😉
I hope you get to trek soon. Sahyadris?
Hahaha maybe. But I’m not done yet 😛
Yups Sahyadris only so far. I’m a bit sceptical about trekking in the Himalayas. :/
The Himalayas is a different game. I have done it a couple of times but Aravali is fine too because that’s what is accessible every weekend. You must trek in the Himalayas, it is worth experiencing. Let me know if you have any question or query on this. 🙂
Yes I know, trekking in the Himalayas is totally different. Hence a bit reserved about it. But yes, I want to do at least one. Will definitely ping you once I decide on the when and where 🙂
sure…any time!
Great post! Is trekking popular in India?
Thanks!
Yes trekking is quite popular here. How can it not be with so many mountain ranges, especially the Himalayas!
Are the trails steep, or not that much?
Depends on the route, the mountain range and the peak that you choose. There are many options for beginners, amateurs and professional trekkers.
Merci.
nice detailed post
Thank you! 🙂
