"Its all relative"

Sands of Time #writephoto

I’m participating in Sue‘s Photo prompt after such a long time. It feels good to get back to blogging after a long break. So here’s my piece. Enjoy it guys! 🙂

Sands of Time
Like soft smooth sand from closed fingers
your life slips away,
leaving back nothing but few grains of memories
to be cherished in times of sorrow and gay.
You are the King of the present moment
give it your best,
life is full of uncertainty, for who knows
tomorrow you will forever rest.
The times which has passed by
is not meant to return,
you are once a lifetime show
which can never re-run.
Walking down the memory lane, you try
to capture the past,
cherishing every spent moment
you hope
it will forever last.
You are not the only one, there are
many like you,
and not many will remember your existence
except just a few.
Your footprints will shine on
the sands of time,
as you for a while will be stored,
and the stars will shine down upon them
till the waves wipe them off the shore…

This poem was composed back in 2009! Wow…I was scarily deep and serious..hmmmm. Anyway do tell how you like it 🙂
